With the window starting to close on Class of 2019 recruiting – with the first National Signing Day a little more than two months away, some schools are starting to plant real seeds for the future.

As many colleges have a good idea of what prospects they figure to land, several are looking at some of the top underclassmen as well.

With recruiting now a year round business, gaining an advantage any way possible is the only way to survive.

As fans are starting to discover that if you are going to make it to the next level and beyond, you have to take every advantage.

Heading down the home stretch in the 2018 season there are indeed some athletes who are not on the clock, but they do need to let people know that they are there and working hard.

Today’s 3 For Thursday shines the spotlight on underclassmen who have started to turn heads – and give college coaches something to thinks about:

2020 – Anthony Frith, DB, Miami Killian. Another of the up-and-coming prospects that the Cougars and head coach Steve Smith are very excited about.

So far this season, this quality secondary performer has been among the top tacklers and has key turnovers that have helped to ignite the program.

Because he has size (5-11, 180), the Cougars have options where to pay him. He has the hips and quickness to play corner, but is also physical enough to lineup at safety.

2020 - Bobby McLaughlin, LB, Coconut Creek Monarch. One of the state’s top tacklers so far this season, this is a prospect, during a rebuilding year who has impacted the team in many ways.

Just a junior, this is certainly a football player who will have the opportunity throughout the off season and into 2019 to really showcase his skills and playmaking abilities.

With camps, combines and a solid workout routine each day, he will continue to enhance his exposure.

2020 – Bryan Miller, LB, Davie Western. If you are searching for the next dominating player in south Florida, you may not have to look further than this quality talent.

After a solid as a sophomore, this has really been a productive junior year. One that has watched him make a major contribution this season as one of the big play athletes.

Burst onto the scene as a solid football player. He continues to elevate the Wildcats and gives head coach Adam Ratkevich and his a football talent who will attract the attention over the next year plus.
