PLAYER: Gerard Nesbitt

POSITION: QB

SCHOOL: Plantation

CLASS: 2020

HEIGHT: 6-2

WEIGHT: 220

SCOUTING: Most fans who have followed high school football over the past decade know head coach Steve Davis and his offense will keep the ball on the ground as much as possible.

Through the years, the Colonels have built their programs around a solid defense - which has had its share of gifted athletes who have gone on to the next level - and beyond.

With a variation of a Wing T offense, the ball stays mostly on the ground - with a very athletic quarterback who could run and throw a little bit if they have to.

Fast forward to this season - where the Colonels are a loaded football team with a tremendous defense, size up front on offense, a superior and deep running game and yes, a quarterback who can throw.

What this junior is going is uncharacteristic for a Plantation QB. But his ability to run the offense has give this program an added dimension as they have a signal caller who will get the ball into the end zone - on the ground or through the air.
