PLAYER: Mark Fontana

SCHOOL: Cooper City

CLASS: 2019

HEIGHT: 5-11

SCOUTING: From the first time you watch him play, there is no mistaking that Mark Fontana takes what he’s doing very serious.

His passion for the game of football is as impressive as the four positions (RB/FB/OLB/MLB) that he lists on his video promotional package, and plays every week.

What this quality senior football player is – for no other words – is a throwback. Not unlike the quality talents that this school has been churning out, for as long as anyone can remember.

What attracts so many, including his head coach Danny Carlisle, to Fontana is the way he plays the game. Someone who wants to be on the field during crunch time, and if the Cowboys needed him to run the ball, make tackles on defense or even play a role on special teams, this big time prospect is there ready to do his job.

While not every high school program has a Mark Fontana, the ones that do make huge strides and improve.
