We Can Stop Speculating an Antonio Brown Reunion With Patriots: Report

December 08, 2019 - 11:23 am

Given the Patriots continuing to struggle on offense, and Antonio Brown remaining unsigned and still being paid by the organization, the rumors of a potential return have been ongoing for weeks.

A few weeks back they picked up when Brown posted an apology to Robert Kraft on social media, but ultimately a signing did not happen. But, between Brown posting more apologies and Tom Brady liking almost all of his posts, the rumors have not gone away.

Well, maybe they can now once and for all.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Patriots will not be re-signing the wide receiver.

But, that doesn't mean he won't be back in the NFL at some point.

"There are teams out there that would love to sign him once [his case] is resolved," Brown's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said to ESPN.

Brown has been accused of sexual assault and sexual misconduct by two different woman. He was released by New England in September after he sent allegedly threatening text messages to the woman who accused him of sexual assault.

The receiver has not been signed because if he were to be, the league could immediately place him on the Commissioner's Exempt List as its investigation continues.
