PLAYER: Allen Crawford

SCHOOL: Davie Western

CLASS: 2019

SCOUTING: For the past two years, those who follow high school football in south Florida felt they had a player who could be the next great one that this region produced.

While there are players who get overhyped – for one reason or another – there are prospects like Allen Crawford who has continued to play this game hard, stay in tremendous shape and work on those things that will get him to the next level – and beyond.

By the time he graduates next June, this one-time South Broward standout has a chance to not only take south Florida by storm, but if everything works out as the Wildcats plan, they could have the leading rusher in south Florida, and in the process, really make a run – like last year – in the post season.

What Crawford represents, in this region of the country, is someone who can do it all. Catch, block and run you over – and run away from you. He is big, quick, strong and very smart.

In his short time with the Wildcats, it’s no surprise that head coach Adam Ratkevich and this football program have embraced him like he has been with the team for years. They all understand that his strong work ethic and overall athletic ability may take them further in 2018.

In an area of the country that annually produces more high level talent than any other place - and it is not close, there is a need to keep your eye on athletes – even if nobody told you to watch. It’s called evaluating, and the result is Crawford, who will quickly become a household name!
