Despite a poor showing in the playoffs and a hefty contract (due over $25M in 2018/1019 and over $27M the following year), Hassan Whiteside won't be impossible to trade.

While guest co-hosting The Midday Show on Tuesday, Heat reporter Ira Winderman from the South Florida Sun Sentinel discussed the possibility.

“I still think [the Miami Heat] are working the phones, exploring every possibility,” said Winderman.

But how can it be done? Well, if you want to get a solid player in return, you'll have to include a young player like Josh Richardson, Justise Winslow, and/or a future draft pick. “If the Heat want to make a trade for Hassan to improve their team, they would have to,” Winderman noted.

Bleacher Report's Tom Haberstroh joined the show as a guest, and shared his views on why Whiteside has been struggling on the court.

“Hassan Whiteside was spoon fed touches early in his career because he was able to score, but in this NBA you can’t just throw it in the post,” Haberstroh said. “Teams are just so smart at scouting right now, so it's very difficult to work out of the post.”
