Over the past two weeks, saying goodbye to the most recognizeable Miami Dolphins players has become all too familiar. The latest to receive his walking papers? Three-time Pro Bowl Center Mike Pouncey.

Joe Rose and Zach Krantz reacted Friday Morning on The Joe Rose Show.

"They released one of my favorite guys of all time in Mike Pouncey," said Rose.

With the 28 year old former Florida Gator gone, the Dolphins acquired his replacement, Daniel Kilgore, in a trade with the 49ers. Miami and San Fran also swapped seventh round picks in the trade.

"I was upset yesterday but I understand the business of the game. One of the team leaders and locker room leaders for this team was Mike Pouncey," said Krantz. "I think the team is gonna miss him and the community is gonna miss him. He's good to us in the media and he's just a good guy in general."

"They were looking at not just saving the money, but worrying about the hip," noted Rose. Miami saves $7 Million under the salary cap by cutting Pouncey. As for the hip - despite being able to play all 16 games in 2017, the Dolphins likely still have concerns over his past injuries.
