On Thursday, the Miami Dolphins signed veteran running back Frank Gore. The move was well received by South Florida sports fans. His ties to the community run deep. Gore, 35, was a standout at Coral Gables High and the University of Miami.

Joe Rose and Zach Krantz reacted to the news Friday morning on The Joe Rose Show.

"Frank Gore signs a one year contract. That came out of left field," said Rose. And he's right. Early in the week, the Dolphins hosted DeMarco Murray for a much publicized workout, while Gore's visit was given significantly less attention. And yet, Gore left the Dolphins facility with a contract and Murray did not.

"The greatest thing he's got going for him is his durability," Rose noted. Gore has not missed a game in seven years. "Over 14,000 yards, 77 touchdowns, and 3,600 yards receiving. His numbers overall have just been crazy for a guy who tore two ACL's in college, but here he is, still going. He has work ethic, leadership, and he's not afraid to call guys out. Imagine what he can do for Kenyan Drake."

Gore sits fifth on the NFL's All Time rushing list, just 75 yards behind Curtis Martin.

Is Frank Gore a future Hall of Famer?

"I think it's a no brainer," said Zach Krantz. "Maybe not on the first ballot," added Rose, "but at some point, yes."
