Miami Hurricanes head coach Mark Richt didn't mince words when asked which of his quarterbacks is on track to start this season.

Tuesday morning on The Joe Rose Show, Richt discussed the competition between Malik Rosier, N'Kosi Perry, Jarren Williams and Cade Weldon.

“Malik (Rosier) really had a good Spring," Richt said. "He does understand what we’re doing. He can get us into the right plays and formations. He can go from a bad play to a good play, or a good play to a great play, but no one is perfect… If I had to name one today, it would be Malik and it ought to be Malik.”

Rosier, a fifth year senior, has started 14 games for Miami. Perry, Weldon and Williams all haven't taken a single snap as a college quarterback. Can any of those freshmen catch Rosier in the Fall?

Richt also discussed the pride he takes in seeing 12 of his players get drafted. Six Miami Hurricanes and six of his former players at Georgia had their names called during the 2018 NFL Draft.

“When you know these kids since 8th and 9th grade, you get to know them and their families. It’s a dream come true for them.”
