The Miami Hurricanes' famed "turnover chain" captivated the college football world in 2017. The chain - awarded on the sideline to Miami players who force a turnover - will return for the 2018 season.

Hurricanes head coach Mark Richt believes the chain makes Miami's takeaways more significant than any other statistic you can come up with.

“The biggest stat in sports is a turnover at the University of Miami, and you get to break out the Turnover Chain,” Richt said Monday on The Joe Rose Show

Richt also discussed another successful Paradise Camp at the University of Miami. Roughly 200 high schools players attended over the weekend, and experienced hands on coaching and mentorship from great former Canes like Warren Sapp, Michael Irvin, Jonathan Vilma, Jon Beason, Bryant McKinnie, Benny Blades, Clinton Portis, Lamar Thomas, and Gino Torretta.

“It was great," said Richt. "Our former players came through in big numbers. So many of the great players we targeted came to check us out."
