PLAYER: Tyrone Douglas, Jr.

SCHOOL: Miami Monsignor Pace

CLASS: 2019

HEIGHT: 5-7.5

SCOUTING: Having watched the athletes that head coach Joe Zaccheo and his staff have been able to teach throughout the years, you tend to see the discipline and the old school approach that has made the Spartans a program that is always in the mix.

With a number of quality difference makers who have walked the halls of this school, here is another football talent - a first team All-County performer a year ago - that does so many things right.

While smaller schools want prospects to play other positions to help with the shortage that is usually present on the roster, it has always become essential for the Monsignor Pace athletes to do what they can to be a part of this impressive program.

A quick and elusive back, Douglas has show that he is indeed one of those prospects - in the 2019 class - who has proven over and over again that he has the speed, toughness and grades to make a splash at the next level.

Appearing at the FIU Summer Combine - where schools such as Rutgers, Georgia Tech, UMass, Nebraska, Western Michigan, Kansas and head coach Butch Davis and his staff were on hand to instruct, watch and evaluate, Douglas had his opportunity - with 600 other talented athletes - to showcase his ability.

Whatever school ends up landing this young man will be getting a prospect who can play this game and make a difference -  on and off the playing field.
