PLAYER: Dave Bonnet

POSITION: OL

SCHOOL: Coconut Creek

CLASS: 2019

HEIGHT: 6-3

WEIGHT: 305

SCOUTING: During the spring, when Head Coach Gerald Cox and his Cougars played against 8A emerging power Plantation, something happened. What occurred in those two plus hours on that May evening was a team growing up and believing that it had the talent to compete.

Part of the reason for that belief was the offensive line. With prospects like Bonnet anchoring a solid front, the rest of the offense could ease in and play winning football. They have!Coming into this week’s key game, this is an offensive line that has showcased this team, and with the versatile Bonnet up front, things look promising.

What Bonnet can do is play just about every position up front. He has the size, is always improving his strength and footwork – and in the end – has become one of the players that is helping to grab the lead and help get a playoff spot in a competitive 5A.

College coaches need to keep this young man in their plans and watch his film. He is that guy you are looking for!
