PLAYER: Derrick Edwards III

POSITION: WR

SCHOOL: Miami Palmetto

CLASS: 2021

HEIGHT: 6-0

WEIGHT: 170

SCOUTING: When this program began to turn the corner two years ago, you could see the difference in the athletes that the Panthers had on both sides of the ball.

Palmetto’s success through the years have revolved around a great combination of athleticism and football-playing ability.

As head coach Mike Manasco and his team defend their district title this season, it’s talent like Edwards who will be needed, especially as the offense continues to get more confident.

What this talented young man does for the program is give them yet another player that can make it tough for any defense to cover everyone on every play.

His speed, route running and ability to pick up so much from last year shows that this is going to be a very special player for years to come – on an undefeated team that now has things going in a positive direction.
