Brian Billick: 'Absolutely' we should see Tua this season

The Joe Rose Show with Zach Krantz: Quarantine Day 116

The Joe Rose Show with Zach Krantz
September 10, 2020 - 10:40 am

The NFL will finally Kickoff tonight with the Chiefs playing host to the Texans.  The Dolphins will open up on Sunday with a tough matchup in New England.  While the Patriots will certainly have some new personnel, the Dolphins will too.  One thing that remains the same for Miami is that Ryan Fitzpatrick will start at quarterback.  So when will we see Tua?  Former NFL Head Coach and Super Bowl Champion Brian Billick joined The Joe Rose Show this morning and when asked if we will see Tua on the field this year he said, “Absolutely, we’ve seen this movie, we know what’s going to happen.  If Fitz plays really well then maybe you could see that parlaying the season but if he doesn’t play well or he can play fine and the team is struggling and lost a couple of games you’ve got to go with Tua.”

Tua has officially been listed as the backup now that Josh Rosen is gone but it is important to note that Tua was listed on the first injury report with a hip although he was a full participant in practice.

All Dolphin games can be heard right here on WQAM.
