It’s been 24 hours since the Dolphins named Tua the starting quarterback for their November 1st meeting with the Rams and in those 24 hours, there have been opinions flying in from all directions.  ESPN’s Jeff Darlington joined The Joe Rose Show on Thursday morning and offered his opinion on the move.  Jeff said, “I think that going into this situation the Dolphins were in about as good a spot as you can be in when transitioning to a franchise quarterback, I understand today comes with mixed feelings given some of the comments Fitz made…I respect the fact that Flores had conviction all along he had conviction when people said he should put Tua in because the team was losing well or Herbert was playing well and he said no not until he’s ready.  We are going to find out, none of us has been at practice and seen him throw, at this point if you trust Flores you have to trust he’s making the right decision”

Jeff went on to say that the ultimate goal here is to become a championship team and that won’t happen with Fitz at the quarterback spot.  He said,  “You know what, you want to be a championship team,  get Tua in there, and let’s get this thing rolling.”

The Dolphins are on a bye this week, Tua makes his debut next Sunday against the Rams.
